After graduating from Hale County High School in Moundville Alabama in1982 I went to Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa Alabama. There I complete cosmetology and received my license. I worked at J. C. Penney Hair Salon for two years and then went back to Shelton State and received my Instructor of Cosmetology Licinese.I opened a hair salon in Moundville Alabama where I employeed five stylist. While owning a salon I went back to school, Athens State College, where I received a B. S. in Career Technical Education and a Master in educational adminstration. I have a strong belief that all students need to learn a skill while in high School. Even if the student is going to college they still need a skill/trade to help them through.When I was in High School I always prayed that God would lead me and  help me find a job where I could make a difference in young peoples lives. I love my job and hope I do make a difference.

Welcome students, I am a licensed cosmetology instructor. I also own a salon.I enjoy helping people look good.  I believe it is important to look your best everyday.

 

The Cosmetology curriculum is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/artistic principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry. The curriculum provides a simulated salon environment which enables students to develop manipulative skills.

Course work includes instruction in all phases of professional imaging, hair design, chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multi-cultural practices, business/computer principles, product knowledge, and other selected topics.  Upon successfully passing the State Board exam, graduates will be issued a license. Employment is available in beauty salons and related businesses.
